The fast growing small local store established since year 1975 by a Filipino couple’s named Ricardo Isidro and wife Corazon Bautista, having a great passion for cooking quality taste of kakanin or bibingka. The couple thought of selling small scale made to order kakanin to help sustain family's everyday needs until continuous growth of business in the market and neighborhood around Marikina City, Philippines. The business has now expand out to create a delicious and surprising Filipino traditional delicacies and dishes that fits consumers taste, budget and lifestyle.

 

Special Bibingka or Kakanin

 

Kakanin or Native Delicacies are integral part of the Filipino food culture. Uniquely Filipino, these are sweet munchies or sometimes desserts made from rice, sweet rice or root vegetables that are slow cooked and usually made with coconut or coconut milk.

 

What qualifies a sweet delicacy as Kakanin?

 

• It could be made from rice or sweet rice, or any of the root vegetables like ube, cassava, taro.

• It could use coconut, and coconut by-products.

• It could be cooked in banana leaf or flavored with pandan leaf.

• It usually is sticky, chewy and takes hours to make - a real labor of love...

• And they're Filipino originals!
